Severe thunderstorms producing destructive twisters are expected over the Plains as a storm system ejects out of the Rockies. This confirms The Weather Alternative's long-range forecast for May 7-8, 2008 that called for Windy conditions and precipitation over the Rockies pushing out into the Plains.
The Accuweather map at left shows the low pressure area moving out of the southern Rockies and affecting the southern Plains and Texas.
